Mark Ress thinks if you’re feeling nervous about starting a project, relax. Tell yourself that you will take it step by step. Mark Ress believes that all you need to do is work at it steadily, a word, sentence and paragraph at a time, and you will complete your proposal, and then when you’ve sold a proposal, you’ll complete your book using the same easy-does-it method.

Here is a few myths Mark Ress has come across.

Mark Ress discovery Myth One
It takes a special talent to write books.
It takes persistence. Mark Ress believes that there are as many different kinds of writers as there are people. Some are young, some are elderly, many are in-between. You don’t need any special writing talent to write books, nor do you need to be highly educated. Mark Ress says that many successful writers have never completed high school. If you can write well enough to write a letter, you can write a book.

Mark Ress discovery Myth Two
Writers starve in garrets.
Many professional writers make incomes that would make doctors and lawyers envious. Most make reasonable incomes. If you decide to make a career of writing non-fiction books, the major benefit is that if you choose your book’s topic with care, your book can stay in print for many years. Mark Ress says that for each year that your book’s in print, you get two royalty checks. Let’s say that you write two books a year for five years. At the end of the five years, if your books all stay in print, you’ll be getting ten royalty checks a year. Acorrding to Mark Ress these ongoing royalties are your nest-egg, profitable investments in your future.

Mark Ress discovery Myth Three
It’s hard to sell a book.
Mark Ress claims that as long as you research the market for each book before you write as much as a single word, it’s easy to sell a book. Mark Ress has found that publishers need competent, reliable writers who can produce good books regularly. This myth got started because — let’s be blunt here— 99% of submissions to editors and publishers are not publishable.

Mark Ress discovery Myth Four
You need to know someone to get a book published.
You need to write a good book to get a book published. That really is all you need to do. Mark Ress know of a person who started writing romance novels and they were published by an English publisher. They certainly didn’t know anyone in UK publishing; they live in Australia. If you have a contact in publishing, by all means Mark Ress strongly recommends to use that contact. However, it’s not necessary. Publishing is big business, and Mark Ress has dicovered that publishers need good books.

3 Tasks to follow according to Mark Ress

1. Task One: Look over four non-fiction books
2. Create a computer folder to hold your working files
3. Create a Work Log
If you already have an idea for your book, that’s great. Open a new computer file so that you can work through the exercises as we progress.

Mark Ress can tell you what’s a book proposal?

Mark Ress says that a book proposal is a business document which convinces a publisher to buy your book before you’ve written it. Your proposal says, in effect: “Hey, I’ve got a great idea for a book which lots of people will want to buy. Do you want to publish it?”
Think of it as a combination brochure and outline of your proposed book.
There’s a standard format of material that your book proposal will need to cover. This doesn’t mean that you need to hew completely to this format. It’s just a guideline of topics your proposal must contain.

Mark Ress Recommends that Your book proposal must contain:

A title page, with the title, subtitle, author, word count of the completed book, and estimated time frame for completion. You might state: “75,000 words, completion three months after agreement”.
An overview: a description of the book. This can be as short as a paragraph, or several pages long.
The background of the author. Your biography, as it relates to your expertise for this book.
The competition in the marketplace. This is where you mention the top four or five titles which are your book’s competitors. (Note: if there are dozens of competitors for your book, this is a good thing, because it means that the subject area is popular. Your book will need to take a new slant.)
Promotions. This is where you describe how you will promote your book, both before and after publication.
A chapter outline.
A sample chapter, or two chapters. This is always the first chapter, and if you’re sending two chapters, it’s the Introduction and Chapter One, or if there’s no Introduction, it’s Chapters One and Two.
Attachments. Optional. You may want to attach articles you’ve written about the book’s topic, or any relevant supporting material.

Mark Ress Recommends to Start here to develop an idea for your next book

Mark Ress believes there’s nothing mysterious about coming up with ideas. Within a page or two, you’ll have more ideas than you know what to do with. Your ideas start with YOU. When you think about what you enjoy, about your past experiences and your knowledge, you’re guaranteed a regular fountain of ideas. Let’s turn on the fountain.
As you do the following exercises, work through them quickly. Mark Ress says don’t allow yourself to bog down. Do them as quickly as you can, and then go and do something else for a few hours, to let the ideas gestate and bubble in your subconscious mind.
Mark Ress recommends that when you come back, read through the ideas you generated, and add to them as you read through your lists. Mark Ress reminds you… Please don’t discard any ideas at this stage. This is because the way to a brilliant, fantastic idea is by twisting an idea slightly, reversing it, or by combining several ideas into a new one.
Searching for ideas alerts your subconscious mind that ideas are important to you. Over the next few days, you may get a nudge from an idea which says: “Write me down”. Mark Ress says to do that right away, even if you’re in the middle of a shower or you’re driving along the freeway. (If you’re driving, pull over.) Write that idea down, because even if you’re one hundred per cent certain that you will never in this lifetime forget that amazing idea you just had, believe me, you will forget it. Write it down, always.
When you stay alert to the idea hovering at the corners of your consciousness you will never be without a book bubbling away. This is how you turn your first book into a long series of books.

Mark Ress has a Final Tip
First thing in the morning is a great time to get ideas. So follow Mark Ress and set your alarm ten minutes early, then sit up in bed jot down 50 ideas.

Mark Ress Idea 1: What you’re good at
Mark Ress recommends to make a list of 20 things you’re good at. Don’t think too hard about this. Maybe you’re good at buying presents for people—you’ve got a knack for choosing just the right gift. Maybe you’re a good cook, or a good parent, or a good swimmer or a good tennis player. Or maybe you used to be good at one or more of these things. Mark Ress give this example: I grew up with horses, and owned horses for many years. I’m good with horses, and a good rider. If I saw a gap in the market for a horse book, I’d feel comfortable writing the book.
Mark Ress thinks you get the idea. List at least 20 things that you’re good at, or have been good at in the past. For example, if you know you’re an excellent gardener, even though you now live an apartment, list “gardening”.

Mark Ress Idea 2: Your past experiences
Mark Ress believes that experiences sell. If you’ve been abducted by little green men from Mars, it’s a book. If you’re a bigamist, it’s a book. People have written books about their illnesses, their addictions, and their pets. Mark Ress recommends to browse through the bestseller lists to see what personal experiences people are writing about.
Here’s where you walk down memory lane according to Mark Ress. If you’re in your twenties, it’ll be a short stroll. If you’re in your forties or older, it will be a hike. Don’t get bogged down with this, list 20 experiences you’ve had that spring to mind.
Mark Ress noticed that the easiest way to come up with experiences is to work backwards through the stages of your life, or through decades. Don’t take a long time over this. Set yourself a time limit — ten minutes is enough.

Mark Ress Idea 3: Your knowledge
Mark Ress asks, what do you know? Start by making a list of all the subjects you were good at in school. Then list all the jobs you’ve had – yes, part time work counts.
Also list:
Your hobbies. Are you a keen Chihuahua breeder? Do you quilt? Take photographs?
Your current job. What are you learning in your job that other people would pay to learn?
The places you’ve lived. Your hometown may be boring to you, but guide books sell well.
Your family tree. What special knowledge do your nearest and dearest have that you could write about?

Spend around ten minutes writing down as many subjects as you have knowledge about.

Mark Ress Idea 4: What you enjoy most
Mark Ress found out that celebrity chef Nigella Lawson freely admits that she cooks because she loves to eat. Nigella has turned her love of food into a career. She regularly produces bestselling books. (Her chocolate recipes are brilliant.) Mark Ress say to ask yourself what do you love? People have written about garage sales, cosmetics, cars, vacations. If you love something, chances are that thousands or maybe millions of others will love it too.
Mark Ress like to watch the newspapers and take note of current trends. Or better yet, listen to what your children are talking about, or asking you to buy for them. Children tend to be well up on what’s happening.
Mark Ress says to remember that it will take around two years for your book to reach the bookstores. Therefore, the currently hot topics on the bestselling lists may be old news before your book is in the stores. This doesn’t mean of course that you can’t write on perennial favorites like money, sex and exercise. Mark Ress believes these topics never go out of popularity, and a new twist on one of these is always a sure bet.
The idea of writing about what you enjoy is that you will be bringing passion and enthusiasm to your topic. Enthusiasm is a must.

Mark Ress Idea 5: From challenge to opportunity
Mark Ress knows that you will face challenges every day. Most are minor, some are major challenges. If you’ve ever faced a large challenge, or if you’re facing one right now, then consider that the things you learn could help other people. Whatever your challenge is, whether it’s moving house or confronting a life-threatening illness, other people face the same challenges, and in those challenges lie the seeds of books.
Mark Ress recommend to make a list of 20 challenges you’ve faced in your life. Anything catastrophic qualifies: losing your job, facing bankruptcy, the betrayal of a spouse. If you’ve had a quiet life, then make a list of challenges that the people you know have faced.
Additional challenges you can consider include any habit you’ve broken, from congenital lateness to overeating.

When you’ve finished brainstorming, you’ll have dozens of book ideas. Winnow out the non-starters. Don’t delete them, move them to another computer file. Call it “odds and ends” or “snippets”.

I know mark ress for just under a year now and thought you all should know that he’s been a straight up person to deal with so far. i have been a member of his free coaching club he has goin on and have learned a lot. i have learned more from him for free than what i’ve paid others thousands to teach me but of course they could not deliver. mark has a great heart and personality but is very direct. he will tell you like it is and most of us do not like to hear it that way so we try to blame others for our failurs. it was not until i started to do what he would say to do and invest in some of his offerings that i actually startd makin some money. now i aint made enought to quit my job or anything but i have made enough to be makin my car note and car insurance every month plus a little bit to spend on things i could not afford before.

i have bought several product and service offerings from mark and he has always delivered. like some folks he does get busy and i had to learn to be a little patient with him but he always over dilivered. i tell you if you are considering a home based buisness coaching program you ought to not invest money with the other guys and invest some quality time listening to what mark ress has to say. he has changed my whole outlook on making money from home. he is a wonderful instructor and so far has been very generous to me.

now i personally have not delt too much with folks in his organization because he’s always delt with me directly. he is pretty easy to get a hold of too if you know how to be patient. he wont get right back to you all the time but he does get back to you. he’s never once charged me for any one on one time either. now which guru do you know who will do that for you. mark does not hold back a thing and i have to say that his products and services have been quality grade a stuff. i really regret not being able to make his seminar back in july due to a scheduling conflict but had i been able to go i would have gone no doubt. he is genuine and sincere in his dezire to want to help people. that is all i need to know about him.

whatta title ha? well it’s true. I met mark ress a little over 7 months ago and ever since then the guy does walk the talk. he really does care about his students learning how to make money from home and earning a living the mark ress way. one of his favorite sayings is “keep it real” and to a lot of folks that is threatening or confrontational. he is just telling it like it is. a lot of im gurus can’t seem to stand the sight or thought of an im’er who does care like mark ress. a guy who just wants folks to succeed in internet marketing.

mark ress’s “keep it real” attitude is what has opened my eyes to a world of possibilities when it comes to making money online and working from home. mark ress is the only guy to ever call me at home and personally walk me through a problem or situation. i mean the guy really does to things like that. he helps you succeed. he doesn’t just sell you a course and walk away. mark ress will do his very best to get you to where you wanna be but you do have to take some initiative and put in work. he’s not gonna do the work for ya and he shouldn’t have to. mark ress is a straight up guy!

if you ever find something negative about this guy it is usually a competitor trying to smear his name or just some lazy person who realized what mark ress has been saying all along and that is that there is no get rich quick pill. you can not just push a button and expect money to come out of your computer. you have to put in work and lay the foundation down just like when building a house. you have to do that or it will all fall apart like a deck of cards. making money online is mark ress’s specialty and i’ve learned a lot from him regarding building a true online business rather than treating it like a hobby.

“most people fail because they don’t want to work period!!” mark ress says. it isn’t about the technology because you can outsource that. it isn’t bout the content because you can outsource that. it is about you putting in the time and effort even if you are outsourcing you still have to manage your workers an that does take time and effort. but if you listen to mark ress and follow his keep it real attitude you will succeed. he wants people to first start with themselves. keep it real with themselves to admit whether this is for them or not. some people are just meant to work for others but mark ress would prefer everyone start their own home based business so that when things get like they are now with the economy they won’t be affected. mark says his business is actually booming in this messed up economy and i wouldn’t doubt it because mark ress knows his stuff. he can teach you how to make money online working from home even if you don’t know the technology or content.

mark ress has a mastermind group called the pitbull coaching mastermind. he has shown us so many things that for $97 a month no other internet marketer can touch. there were several in the pitbull coaching that told mark his stuff was ten times better than the other “gurus” masterminds or coaching programs. can you imagine tapping into a resource like mark ress once a week for at least 2 hours and being able to ask him whatever questions you like about marketing online and making money from home? i mean it is priceless!! then he’ll even call you if you need more time with him and does not charge you a thing. i tell you mark ress does keep it real and is the real thing.

Mark Ress had been an underground marketer for many years. He’s worked on many projects for a lot of the top marketing and internet marketing gurus. A lot of Mark Ress’ experience comes from the blackhat world of SEO but Mark Ress has also studied many other aspects of Marketing as well as Business Development and Consulting.

Mark Ress is STILL the ONLY Internet Marketer who offers a FREE Internet Marketing Coaching Club. Although he no longer maintains it due to other projects he HAS left the site up an has allowed new members to join. Mark Ress has always felt that the more you give the more you get and his life is a testament to that fact. Mark has always been a giver yet there are those who no matter how much Mark gives will always say it’s never enough.

There are those who would say Mark Ress didn’t help them or didn’t help them enough. There are those that would say Mark Ress didn’t give them a refund yet in all of Mark Ress’ sales copy and pages he states very clearly that there are no refunds. He wants folks to make a commitment to succeeding and not giving it a “half-ass effort” as he puts it. I understand the whole meaning behind having skin in the game and personally don’t have a problem with Mark Ress feeling the way he does about refund bandits and what not but it is those that go around bad mouthing him and his efforts that need a reality check especially when those same people don’t even know him. Those same people have never even dealt with Mark Ress on any level yet they criticize him for his efforts. I don’t see NO OTHER Internet Marketer doing the things Mark Ress has done to help people or give as much of themselves to help people. I mean when Mark Ress puts on teleseminars they go on for marathon 3 to 4 hour lengths. This isn’t just once or twice but all the time. This is Mark Ress’ style. He likes to over deliver and help people who want to help themselves.

So when folks ask “Who is Mark Ress?” I tell them to go to YouTube Mark Ress and do a search there so they can see ALL the video testimonials about this guy. Don’t listen to the bullsh– you find in Google but hear and see real people telling you all about Mark Ress and who he is. They know him. They have met him. They have worked with him. These are the people who can best answer the question “Who is Mark Ress?”

Christopher

p.s.
Mark Ress if you read this I hope you come back and give folks what they’ve been needing in this messed up economy. For you to have gone back underground is a shame to the public at large because so many Internet Marketing “gurus” are doing launches which are just taking people’s money and not delivering. They just don’t care the way you do and did. Again we miss you on Ustream Mark Ress and Twitter. You are the man Mark Ress!!
